Zcash Dev Fund Runoff Poll (July 2024)

public election created by Jack Gavigan

The purpose of this run-off poll is to decide which of two Dev Fund proposals should be adopted when the current Dev Fund expires in November.

A previous round of polling of various groups across the Zcash community (including ZCAP) yielding varying results. However, two proposals consistently achieved majority approval across all polls:

Under both proposals, the remaining 80% of the block rewards would be allocated to the miners. Funds that are directed into the protocol lockbox will remain there until a distribution mechanism is introduced in a future network upgrade.

This poll asks respondents to choose which of these two proposals they prefer. Respondents may abstain by not selecting either option and submitting their ballot as normal.

Voting will close at 09:00 UTC on 29th July 2024.

Voting end at July 29, 2024, 9 a.m.
